We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Aircraft Structural Mechanic/Assembler for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Charleston, SC Details for the position are as follows:
- $25-37hr based on previous experience.
- This is an onsite role.
- 12+ month contract - (potential to extend or convert based on performance & budget).
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 1ST, 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT, THERE IS NO GUARENTEE THEY WILL STAY ON THE SAME SHIFT AND REQUESTING SHIFTS IS NOT AN OPTION. THEY MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT DURING TRAINING THAN THEIR NORMAL***
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
- Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
- Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and procedures
- Experience with conventional lathe, milling, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools
- Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
- Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- Capable of drilling, reaming, filling, removing, and installing fasteners, Shimming, accurately measuring, and documenting data.
- Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
- Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals
